Antidraft Duct Insert: This insert is designed for use with range hoods, bathroom fans and other home Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) applications. It features outer rubber gaskets that generate an airtight seal and grip between the damper and ducts.
Functionality: It mounts horizontally or vertically and acts as a preventive measure against backflow and debris entering the ducting. The unit comes with a galvanized steel body along with spring-loaded aluminum damper blades that initiate opening with minimal airflow. Suitable for 8 in. Duct Openings. It has a product length of 5.03 inches with a fine powder coat finish.

Specifically designed for embedding in ducts, the backdraft damper is composed of durable galvanized steel and features dual rings of exterior rubber gaskets. This construction enables it to grip your ducting with an airtight seal in either a horizontal or vertical position. The butterfly damper blades, made of aluminum, are fitted with a light spring that folds with minimal airflow.
Applications: The spring-loaded antidraft damper has been built for heavy-duty performance in overhead range hoods in kitchens, bathroom fans, and tumble dryers. The damper can be fully or partially inserted into your duct work utilizing the rubber rings to hold itself in place. Other one-way airflow applications include keeping pilot lights burning in water heaters and preventing debris from entering inline duct fans in indoor grow environments.
